RESIDENTS ONLY – MAIL BOX

Your mailroom secure access is only for the current residents. Using someone else’s code may result in a $25 admin fee charged to the resident to activate a new code again. When a resident vacates, this specific code is disabled, never to be used again, then a new code will be assigned by council. New residents must not use past residents code. This helps ensure mailroom access security is maintained for all parties concerned. The owner or landlord may be fined $50 if an old access code is continued to be used by another resident or tenant.

The mailroom location is the room by the visitor parking entrance pictured below. It is meant to be nondescript. You will see a post office box and a lighted key pad. Key in your personal code, shown above and then press the letter “B”. The door will unlock. Pull the door handle to open. Do not block the door. An alarm will sound. When you exit, please be sure that the door closes completely.

Please try your code to open the door As Soon As Possible. If you have trouble inputting your code, call any council member (listed in the newsletter). Leave a clear message: Phone number, name, & address.

Each resident has their own unique code which should only be shared with residents in your home. Do not give it to any other resident. Although this is added security, mail thieves may attempt to break in. Mail boxes should be emptied every day. This is a tamper resistant system. If you hear the loud alarm horn, call 911. Someone is breaking into the mailroom. Do not investigate alone.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MAIL ROOM IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE FROM 6AM UNTIL MIDNIGHT DAILY. IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL NEED FOR ACCESS OUTSIDE THESE HOURS, PLEASE CONTACT THE STRATA COUNCIL.

HOW TO REPLACE A LOST MAIL BOX KEY
mailbox key

If you lost your mail box key, you need to get a locksmith to come into the mail room to replace the lock and key set. The old lock is drilled out and replaced by a new one. Neither the strata nor Canada Post has any control over locks used for individual mail boxes. No extra keys are kept by anyone, including the locksmith. The resident will be required to pay for any replacement costs.
